Cover Designs and Some Photos

Still catching up on posting some work samples that occured this summer. These design concepts were done for both a book cover and DVD dust jacket that were produced by Gabriel Cheiftez of http://www.phillipscommunitytv.org/, http://www.getbattleground.com/, and http://www.solvea.com/ Some really cool retro graphics and colors were used which got me into the mood once again to go back into my archives of 50s McCalls and Popular Mechanics and start a new website dedicated to old clip art. Once my house and studio are put back together I will once again have the time to start churning it out. Here are the dust jacket concepts.

I’ve also shot some photos of the kids at the park that needed to be posted as well. There is an indoor park attached to the hotel we’ve been living in the past 4 months and once or twice a week I take the kids over there to play. I started playing around with the digital camera and by using the manual settings I could get some really nice effects with blurred images. The entire series of 52 shots really wraps up the feelings and general daze we have all experienced with having to change our lives due to our house being flooded. Trying to make out what the image really is makes the series even more relevant to me as the clouded memories and daily experiences of this summer just seem to blend into one another as a bad dream.
